30 year old me was full of energy and blind naivety about what it would take to start and run my own business. My business and investing journey began here, when I invested £20,000 in a photo booth that I would hire out to events. Business was fantastic for 2 years and then things turned sour.

To the outside world, we were loving life. But spending a week away after we got married and realising that we had £60,000 of high interest debt was humbling. Our big dreams for life were being squashed under the weight of credit cards, overdrafts and loans. 

After a week away for our honeymoon in sunny Colchester, we decided that we wanted to do something to change our financial position. We had heard about two business models, rent-to-rent and portfolio building. Both allowed me to learn about property investing without having money of my own. In essence, I became a consultant helping other investors to maximise their portfolios. These were the beginnings of my investing journey.

In the first 6 months, the property business exploded. We were on our way to clearing our debt and the next step was to prove we could pay all our bills whilst travelling the world. We booked a 'round-the-world ticket and spent 3 months travelling as I continued to run the business. When I got home, I was hospitalised with pneumonia. This forced me to slow right down on my work, which reinforced the importance of being able to earn money without trading my time for it.

In December 2017, I finally cleared my debt. All of it. I was no longer living on my overdraft, all my credit cards had been paid back, and I celebrated with a little reward trip to London. I believe in rewarding yourself as you reach the milestones you have set. This was (and still is) one of my proudest achievements. It could so easily have gone a very different way as it does for many people that simply don't understand MONEY.

After months of being invited to speak at other people's events on the topics of money, property, investing and business, I decided we would put on our own event. I wanted to (still do) change the world. Being able to show people exactly how they can change their financial position brought me so much joy (still does)! We began with a room of 150 clients and our education, coaching and mentoring business exploded from then. I continued to invest almost all the money I was making, even if it was £50 a month because I had discovered the power of compound interest and dividend stocks which paid me an income without me having to trade my time for money.

A passion project that took 2 years to finish, the MONEY MECHANICS book went live and became an Amazon No.1 Bestseller on launch day. Having sold thousands of copies across the world, this book inspired the newest chapter for me. Our sole purpose as a business is to put more money into the hands of women and men through debt and investing education, financial literacy for young people and improved financial wellness for UK-based workforce. Speaking only ever from personal experience, this work impacts lives in a way I never realised I could. I now travel the world, standing on stages helping every-day people to have more money than ever before. I help them stabilise their income, recover from debt and prepare for and start investing.

I invest in stocks, shares, crypto, businesses, property and more. I believe in a world where more women are financially independent, where we can all retire without taking a hit on our lifestyle, where we can live a life we choose instead of being stuck because we can't afford to change things. MONEY matters and I have one job and that is to help you understand and talk about MONEY more so you can make your MONEY work harder for you!
